I have awesome news! The scientist fell into my trap and admitted (mentally if not verbally) that he analyzed the documents and they are true.

In part one of this two-part series, I will cover the background of this latest development, and how I got the scientist to take the bait.

Many of you may have heard the lies spread recently by Becky’s scientist friend. He now claims he never analyzed the documents I sent him. He says Becky asked him to humor me by looking over my documents and testifying to their authenticity. He claims he only agreed to do it because he “owes her”. He also claims that while he is technically a scientist, he is just a pharmacy tech who knows nothing about ancient documents or ancient Indians.

When asked why he is denying the authenticity of thre documents now when he promised Becky he would lie about it, he said Linda the receptionist screwed it all up.

I confronted Becky with this information, and she denied ever telling him to humor me. As far as she knows, he is an actual scientist and he promised to analyze the documents and give an honest scientific opinion about them.

One of them is lying, and I choose to trust Becky.

So now that you’re all caught up, prepare for the latest breakthrough in this story.

As promised, I devised a plan to trap the scientist and force him to admit The Book of Zelph is true, or at least admit that he told me on the phone the characters were genuine ancient Indian writings based on his rigorous scientific analysis.

My plan required me to be in close, physical proximity to the scientist with my seer-stone and hat. Knowing that scientists are naturally curious about how things work, I deduced that I could entice him to meet with me by offering to give him a seer-stone demonstration in exchange for the stuff I sent him. This way, if I can’t get a confession, I would at least get my stuff back.

Because he was ignoring my calls, I asked Becky to call him and make arrangements for the meeting. She rolled her eyes but reluctantly made the call (she’s such a great girlfriend).

Despite only hearing Becky’s side of the conversation, I could tell he was trying to weasel out of it. Becky was persistant. She tried to convince him it was the right thing to do. He didn’t care. What an asshole. Finally, she promised him that she would personally make it worth his time. That seemed to do the trick. He agreed to meet with me. He took the bait!

The Trap

We arranged to meet in an abandoned warehouse after his shift ended at the pharmacy. He was waiting for me when I arrived and patted me down to ensure I wasn’t wearing a wire.

The following is my recollection of how the meeting went. The quoted dialog may not be exactly what was said, but it’s basically accurate.

“Okay, so show me how this magic rock works,” the scientist snarked.

I asked him where the documents were that I gave him earlier. He told me they were in his car. I told him to retrieve them from his car and place them on the ground between us. While he retrieved the documents, I took out my seer-stone, baseball cap, a pen, and a piece of paper.

We sat across from one another with the ancient documents between us. I handed him the pen and paper.

“I will place this seer-stone in the hat and then place my face in the hat to block the light,” I explained. “The stone will emanate words, and I will speak them as they appear. You write down what I say. These words are the English translation.”

He started laughing.

“If you are truly a man of science, you will have faith in the stone.”

He shrugged his shoulders. “Okay. Let’s get this over with.”

I dropped the seer-stone in the hat, placed my face in the hat, and began reading the words that appeared. He began to transcribed the words as I spoke.

“I know the documents that were given to me by Josh Anderson are genuine ancient Indian artifacts based on my scientific analysis, but I told people they are not genuine because of peer-pressure from the mainstream scientific community. I wish I could be a man and publicly declare the things I know to be true, but I am too much of a pussy and it makes me ashamed of myself. Why am I such a weak little bitch? Why can’t I be brave and awesome like Josh Anderson?”

“What is this?” he asked angrily. “What are you talking about?”

I pulled my head out of the hat, chuckled, and said, “I got you. You just admitted it”

“Admitted what?”

“This seer stone wasn’t translating the pile of documents between us. I tricked you. Instead of directing the stone at the documents, I directed it at your head. It translated your brain waves. The stone can see treasures buried underground and translate any language into English. Therefore, it can see the brain activity behind your skull and translate those brain waves into English. In other words, it just read your mind.”

He stared at me in disbelief. “How are you doing this?”

“This seer-stone is more powerful than you can possibly imagine.”

He stared down at my hat and trembled in fear of the stone it contained.

I demanded he hand over the transcription, but he tore it up.

“I only wrote the first three words anyway,” he said as he ran to his car. 

He climbed in and slammed the door behind him. The engine quickly roared to life. He flipped me the bird as he raced out of the warehouse defeated. 

Another victory for truth!
